Keep 'Em Busy: Road Trip {Part 2}

Yesterday, I shared the Magnetic Activity Board and all the fun activities I put together to keep my little guy busy with it. As fun as it was, I wanted to have some backups just in case he got tired of it. So, today, I have a few more ideas for keeping those little ones busy on a road trip.

Coloring Book and Crayons
Even though we had the dry erase coloring pages with the Magnetic Activity Board, I thought it might be fun to have a regular coloring book and crayons too. My little guy got this play pack at a birthday party, so I just threw it  in with the rest of the activities.

We ended up not using it, but I'm going to remember it the next time we go on a road trip. You never know!

Stickers
My little guy is nuts about stickers! I've used them for rewards like crazy, so I knew he'd love to play with them. I was so right. This was one of the more popular activities we did.
I gave him a piece of paper (we used the Magnetic Activity Board as a hard surface) and handed him stickers to put on the paper. I may let him have the pack of stickers when he's older, but for now, I like handing them to him. There's more interaction that way, and I can keep control of the situation a little bit better. I didn't want stickers all over the windows!

Presents
I went to the dollar store and bought several little toys and wrapped them up. When an activity was getting old or he seemed restless, I'd pull out one of the presents. He loved it! The dinosaurs and frogs were particularly popular with him. What kid doesn't love opening presents?
(I first saw this idea here at I Am Momma Hear Me Roar.)

Pipe Cleaners
Pipe cleaners? Yep. I threw these in from one of our busy bags, and they turned out to be a hit. I think he enjoyed them in the car more than he ever has at home! We twisted, bent, and attached them together. I even played with them for a while!
